The Stunning Glen Ewin Estste in the Adelaide foothills set the scene for what was to be an elegant summer picnic wedding. The venue, like the rest of the day was nothing short of perfect...and Mary was there from the early hours of the morning to set up each intricate element and calculating where the sun would be in the afternoon to assure guests and the bridal party would be comfortable in the dappled sun through the tress...oh and every finger and toe crossed for a flawless day!...which by the way worked a charm!
Gabrielle was right on time, and she walked down the aisle to a summery acoustic version of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" (listen here). The shade was perfect, and the flowers by Sally from Poppies were exquisite, with lavendar, jasmine and rosemary lining the aisle and baby pink hydrangeas swinging amongst the weeping willow branches...*swoon*
The ceremony was a beautiful dedication of their love for each other as they spoke their own vows. And as they were announce husband and wife for the first time, guests celebrated by showering them with multi-coloured rose petals.
Croquet, bocce, picnic rugs, pimms and friendly swans were just some of the delights on hand as guests laughed and celebrated... visit Gabrielle's blog to see some of the guest shots.
